They were used to decorate houses, to treat themselves, and ancient Greek beauties widely used celery as a cosmetic product for preparing face masks that helped them preserve and prolong skin youth. Well, what masks can be made from celery — you will learn from our recipes.
All parts of celery are useful: root, stems and leaves. It contains many vitamins and minerals, essential oils, fiber and sugars. Celery masks enrich our skin with important substances that are necessary for its normal functioning, slowing down the aging and fading processes.
2 tbsp. tablespoons of chopped celery stalk combine with 0.5 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of sour cream. Stir the ingredients, apply on face for 15 minutes. Wash your face first with warm water and then chilled.
Mask «Second Youth»
2 tbsp. Mix tablespoons of chopped celery leaves and stalks with 150 ml of fresh milk and bring the mixture to a boil. Then cool the broth and strain. Apply celery gruel to the face (can also be applied to the neck and décolleté) for 15 minutes. Then wash off with cool water.
Mask for dry and normal skin
1 tbsp. a spoonful of chopped celery stalk mixed with 1 tbsp. a spoonful of oatmeal and chop again
using a blender. Mix the resulting mixture with 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of high-fat cream and 3-4 tbsp. spoons of warm milk.
Apply the mask in a thick layer on the face, leave for 15 minutes, rinse with warm water.
Purifying mask for dry skin
Take 1 teaspoon of dry herbs of celery, lavender, dill, mint, oregano, parsley, sage and thyme and grind in a coffee grinder to flour. Add 3 tbsp to the herbal flour. tablespoons of olive oil, stir and apply the resulting mixture on the face for 2-3 minutes with light massaging movements. Then spend 10 minutes in complete rest. Remove the mask with warm water.
Nourishing mask for dry skin
1 tbsp. a spoonful of chopped celery root mix with 1 tbsp. spoon of high fat cottage cheese and 3 tbsp. spoons of warm milk. Grind thoroughly until smooth, apply on face skin for 15 minutes. Wash off the mask with warm water.
Combination skin mask
Mix 1 tbsp. a spoonful of chopped celery stalk with 1/2 tbsp. tablespoons of grated carrots and 1/2 tbsp. tablespoons of chopped parsley leaves. Then add 2 tbsp to the mask. tablespoons of low-fat kefir or yogurt and 1 egg yolk. Stir well and apply the mask to the face. After 15 minutes, wash off warm, and
then cold water. This mask not only tones the skin, but also nourishes it with vitamins necessary for the proper functioning of the skin.
Refreshing mask for oily skin
Mix the chopped celery stalk, 2 tbsp each. tablespoons of applesauce, grated cucumber, grated raw potatoes and 1 tbsp. a spoonful of kefir. Add a little boiled rice and apply the mask on the face for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with cool water.
Toner for oily skin
Pour 100 g of chopped celery with a glass of boiling water. Let the broth brew in a thermos for 3-4 hours, then strain. Can be enriched with a few drops of essential oils (tea tree, lavender, etc.). Keep refrigerated. Wipe your face twice a day — morning and evening.
Scrub for mature, aging skin
Mix 1 teaspoon of dried celery root, cilantro, grated ginger and nutmeg, ground into flour. Add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of honey to the mass, stir thoroughly.
Apply a little of the mixture to damp skin and massage for 2-3 minutes. Wash off with water at room temperature.
Pure celery juice is used to cleanse the skin, as well as to combat obvious skin imperfections — pimples, acne, pustular formations. Saturate the cheesecloth folded in two layers with juice, apply on the face for 10-15 minutes, in the end, rinse the face with water at room temperature.
