Pleurisy is inflammation and swelling of the outer membrane (pleura) that covers the lungs. Pleurisy can be caused by infection, tumor development, or traumatic injury to the breast.

Symptoms of pleurisy: Inflammation of the pleura causes pain when inhaling deeply, as well as when moving the chest.

Folk remedies, treatment of pleurisy

Mix the juice of 1 onion with honey in a 1: 1 ratio. Take 1 tablespoon 2 times a day after meals. It is a good anti-infective agent.

Mix black radish juice with honey in a 1: 1 ratio. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day.

Juice and pulp of ordinary cherries take 0.25 cups 3 times a day after meals.

Mix 30 g of camphor oil, 2.5 g each of lavender oil and eucalyptus oil. Rub into the sore side 2-3 times a day. After that, apply a warming compress or bandage tightly.

Heat the olive oil in a water bath and rub it into the sore side with pleurisy, then make a compress and wrap up warmly.

At the onset of the disease, a compress from a sponge dipped in hot water helps. Salt or sea water is especially effective.

To relieve pain in pleurisy, it is recommended to apply a medicinal dressing with mustard to the sore spot.

After the 7th day of illness, make dragees from a mixture of equal amounts of honey and butter, to which add almonds and nettle seeds at the rate of 1 part of almonds and nettle to 4 parts of honey and butter. Cool dragee and suck 3-4 times a day. When the disease is clearly on the decline, you can use banks.


Take 2 parts of anise fruits, marshmallow root, licorice root, 1 part each of pine buds and sage leaf. Brew 1 tablespoon of the mixture in 1 cup of boiling water, close tightly and leave for 5 hours, strain and take 1 tablespoon 4 — 5 times a day to treat pleurisy.

For the treatment of pleurisy, there is such a folk remedy:
take 2 parts of the mother-and-stepmother leaf, 1 part each of elecampane root, peppermint leaf, licorice root, marsh creeper grass. Prepare an infusion (1 tablespoon of the mixture for 1 cup of boiling water) and take 0.5 cups 3 times a day before meals.

Another folk remedy for the treatment of exudative pleurisy:
take 1 glass of aloe juice, 1 glass of linden honey, 1 glass of vegetable oil, 150 g of birch buds, 50 g of heart-shaped linden flowers. Pour birch buds and lime blossom with 2 cups of boiled water, heat in a water bath for 15 minutes, leave for 30 minutes, drain. Add honey and aloe juice to the resulting infusion. Heat in a water bath for 5 minutes, cool and add vegetable oil. Take 1-2 tablespoons 3 times daily before meals.

Pour 0.5 liters of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of horsetail and leave for 3 hours. Drink 0.5 cups 4 times a day.
